William “Bill” Joseph Skolaut, 69 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on August 13, 2025, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, 7995 Outer Rd., Odessa, MO, 64076. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the church. Memorials are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church. Bill was born on September 8, 1955, in Hoisington, KS to Vernon and Ann (Click) Skolaut. After graduating from Hoisington High School, Bill earned his bachelor’s degree in education and business form Emporia State University in Emporia, KS. On May 5, 1984, Bill was united in marriage to Celeste Soutee in Grandview, MO. Bill was the golf coach for many years at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO and the golf pro at Clay Crest Country Club. Bill was currently employed at Lake City Ammunitions as a dispatcher for security. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, P.G.A., and the N.R.A. Bill enjoyed woodworking, hunting, farming, but most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Celeste Skolaut of Odessa, MO; two children, Sarah (David) Forsha of Weston, MO and Jacob (Ashley) Skolaut of Archer, FL; five grandchildren, Ethan Forsha, Gabriel Forsha, Lily Forsha, Claire Forsha, and Oakley Skolaut; three sisters, Elaine (Alan) King of Kansas City, MO, Lisa (Wayne) Drake of Lawrence, KS, and Susan (Doug) Lieker of Sabetha, KS; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
