William “Jack” Lee Shroyer, 92, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at Riverbend Heights Health and Rehabilitation in Lexington.

 

Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067.  A Celebration of Life will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 am.  Inurnment with Military Honors will be at Machpelah Cemetery in Lexington.  A gathering with family and friends will follow the inurnment at the Lexington VFW.   Memorials are suggested to the Lexington Assembly of God.  Memories of Jack and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.  

 

Jack was born on November 25, 1931, in Lexington to Floyd Jefferson and Mary Elizabeth (Bergland) Shroyer.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the VFW Post 4052 in Lexington.  On April 14, 1956, Jack was united in marriage to Wanda Joy Hufford in Lexington.  He retired after 37 years of service from Green Quarries.  Jack was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Lexington, MO.   In addition to spending time with family and friends, he was a Jack of all trades, always lending a helping hand to others, as well as an auto mechanic.

 

Jack is survived by his wife of 67 years, Wanda Shroyer of Lexington, MO; three children, William “Jeff” Jefferson Shroyer, of Lexington, MO, Wendy Diane Johnson of Blue Springs, MO, and Michael “Mike” David Shroyer of Lexington, MO; two grandchildren, Brandon Wayne Ewing of Lexington, MO and Ashton Laine Johnson of Blue Springs, MO; one great grandchild, Avery Laine Johnson; one brother, John Franklin Shroyer of Lexington, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  

 

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Sage Michael Ewing; three sisters, Mary “Tee Doll” O’Donnel, Rosie “Grady” Brock, and Millie “Bo” Brock; and three brothers, Floyd Curtis Shroyer, Charles “Uncle Shorty” Jefferson Shroyer, and Harold “Joe” Joseph Shroyer.
