Wanda Louise (Stewart) Martin, 75, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, at CenterPoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri.  

 

Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m. to 1:30p.m., Friday, February 2, 2024, at the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church, 12507 Mt. Tabor Road, Odessa, Missouri, 64076. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:30p.m., Friday, February 2, 2024. Memorials are suggested to the United Network for Organ Sharing. Wanda was born in Wyandotte County, Kansas, April 19, 1948, to Lyman and Mary Frances (Lamb) Stewart. Wanda was an active member of Mt. Tabor Church. 

Wanda dedicated her life to creating a warm and welcoming home for her family by being a homemaker. Wanda was united in marriage to Robert Melvin Martin in Independence, Missouri on October 25, 1985. He preceded her in death on September 7, 2022. Wanda had a special place in her heart for all her grandchildren. Along with spending time with family and friends, Wanda enjoyed horses, reading romance novels, gardening, and watching the Hallmark channel. 

 

Wanda is survived by four children, Adam Robert (Taylor) Martin, Katherine (Brett Wallace) Martin, Daphne Holley and Jeanetta (Christopher) Tooley;    

nine grandchildren, Ronnie Phillips, Christopher Phillips, Rochelle Phillips, Cassie Tooley, Corrine Tooley, Sophia Martin, Brandon Clemmons, Stephen Wallace, and Kaydin Wallace; three great-grandchildren, Owen Hamilton, Caroline Price, Conner Price; one sister, Brenda Kay Brandon; five sisters-in-law, Dianna Gaskins, Georgia Youngblood, Cheryl Luney, Deborah Martin, and Patricia Stanfa. 

 

Along with both her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Cowart; three brothers, John Stewart, Jimmy Stewart, Darrel Stewart.
