Tom Lawrence, 67, of Lexington, MO, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011, at North Care Hospice in North Kansas City after losing his battle with cancer. Tommy Lloyd Lawrence was born January 10, 1944, in Kirby, Arkansas, to Orlin Lloyd and �Rosie� Armenta Foshee Lawrence. He married Margaret Teichman on July 15, 1994. Tom was a printer who learned the trade at a young age, and he owned the Standard Press in Lexington along with his wife, Margaret. He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Lexington and the American Legion in Sunrise Beach, MO. Tom was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and he proudly served his country as a jet mechanic during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Lawrence, a daughter Emily Hoefer and husband of Lees Summit, two grandchildren, Miles Quincy and Ella Rose, three brothers and one sister. He will also be dearly missed by his three nieces, two nephews, and seven great-nephews and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South Street, Lexington, MO. (660) 259-2245. Private family services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville with military rites. Flowers and memorial donations may be sent to the funeral home.
