Thomas Clark Corbin, 80, of Waverly passed away at his home August 17, 2020. There will be a graveside service Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Dover Cemetery. Tom was born February 24, 1940 in Lexington to Clark and Hazel (Schumaker) Corbin. He graduated from Lexington High School and worked as a diesel engine mechanic for Green Quarries for 27 years. On October 9, 1998, he married Phyllis Burkhardt in Bullhead City, Arizona. Thomas was a member of the Dover Christian Church. He was also a member of the Sprint Car Driver Hall of Fame, he was inducted into C.A.R.B. in 2016 .
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, of the home; children, Tony Corbin and wife Becca of Carrollton and Necole Luce and husband Dennis of Grain Valley; grandchildren, Jessica Davenport, Jon Corbin, Olivia Corbin, Grace Luce, Theo Luce and Lily Luce; great grandchildren, Jack, Jillian, Collin and Houston; and brother Jack Corbin of Raytown. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Lasoski.
