Charlene Rose Hartupee

November 20, 1942 — June 2, 2012

Charlene Rose Hartupee, 69, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Saturday June 2, 2012 at the Lees Summit Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. Second St., Odessa, MO 64076 (816) 633-5524. Visitation will be held on Friday June 8, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Odessa City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Condolences for the family may be left at www.ralphojones.com. Charlene was born on November 20, 1942 in Glennonville, MO to Harry and Mary (Fuemmeler) Sexton. She graduated from St. Marks High School in St. Louis, MO. She was a Catholic by faith. She was employed at the Odessa Community Daycare. She loved to go and watch her grandkids sporting events, visiting with friends, spending time with her family and cooking. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include her three children, Rene Hilden and husband Dennis of Wellington, MO, Angela Bittel and husband Michael of Odessa, MO and Jeffery Hartupee and wife Michelle of Odessa, MO; twelve grandchildren, Shandi Hilden, Aaron Hilden, Jason Hilden, Mark Hilden, Mackenzie Sousley, Colton Sousley, Alex Bittel, Megan Bittel, Kodi Howard, Brianna Daniels, Austin Baker and Chase Hartupee; Two great-grandchildren, Hunter Meierer and Remington Meierer; three brothers, George Sexton of St. Peters, MO, Jake Sexton and wife Julie of Troy, IL and Harry Sexton and wife Mary of St. Louis, MO; three sisters, Janette Thiele and husband Ted of Lexington, TN, Joan Thornsberry and husband Ken of St. Louis, MO and Paulette Claes and husband Jim of St. Louis, Missouri; and a longtime family friend Linda Eaden of Independence, MO. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter Destiny Hartupee; Thomas Hartupee, two brothers, John Sexton and Roy Sexton; a sister, Gertrude Pestka.
