Steven Mark Fitzwater

Steven Mark Fitzwater, 65, of Lexington, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 525 S. Business Hwy 13, Lexington, Missouri, 64067. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at St. John The Baptist Cemetery in Dover, MO. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Steven was born July 8, 1959, in Paola, Kansas, to Solen Leonard and Hattie Irene (Feldman) Fitzwater. In 1979, he graduated from Lexington High School and later attended a Trade School for auto mechanics. Steven was the owner and operator of Steve’s Auto Service for 39 years. Steven was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Along with spending time with family and friends, Steven enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, traveling to Las Vegas, hunting and fishing.

Steven is survived by his sweetheart, Donna Boland of the home, one son, Joshua Fitzwater of Braymer, MO; three step children, Jennifer (Steve Iles) Boland of Lexington, MO, Jamie (Mike) Greer of Grain Valley, MO, and Kristen (Eli Lugjen) Boland of Lexington, MO; three step grandchildren; three sisters, Kathy (Mark) Freeman, of Republic, MO, Kimberly (Darrel) Head of Higginsville, MO, and Kristy Ridenour of Mansfield, MO; three brothers, Ricky (Susan) Fitzwater of Urbana, MO, John (Sandy) Fitzwater of Dover, MO, and Leonard (Cheri) Fitzwater of Beaufort, SC; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Along with both his parents Steven was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Denton and Louise Fitzwater; and one brother, Michael Fitzwater.
