Shawn Cedric Johnson, 57, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on April 20, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on March 28, 1969, in Lexington, Missouri, to John Wilkerson and Sandra Lee Johnson. Shawn’s life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and deep love for those around him.

Shawn walked a path marked by both challenges and triumphs. Though his career was affected by disability, his spirit never wavered. He found joy and purpose in many passions that brought him closer to family and friends. Fond memories of Shawn often center on time spent lovingly with his family, the shared excitement of fixing and selling cars, the soulful comfort of listening to music, and the spirited days of his youth when he played football, running track and field, and devoted time to working out and lifting weights. These pursuits painted a vivid picture of a man who embraced life with enthusiasm and heart.
Educated through high school, Shawn carried a kindness and a great sense of humor that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. His sharp wit, gentle nature, and graciousness made him a beloved figure among relatives and friends alike.
Above all, Shawn was proud of his role as a father. Becoming a father was his most treasured accomplishment, and his love for his children defined his greatest joy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and many other extended family members.
He is survived by his cherished daughter, Macy Lantz, daughter Shawnte Kirk, and son Dreshawn. Shawn is also remembered with love by his brothers, sisters, and uncle, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Shawn will be remembered by many other family members and friends.
