Shari Kay Wheeldon, 53, of Lexington passed away December 16, 2020 at her parent’s home in Independence. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation will also be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 until 11:00am. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington. Memorials may be made to KU Cancer Center. Shari was born December 9, 1967 in Olathe, KS to James and Judith (Pemberton) Taylor. She graduated from Blue Springs High School where she sang in the choir and later worked as a medical coder for Central Diagnostic Imaging. On September 23, 1995 she married Robert “Bob” Wheeldon in Harrison, AR. Shari was a Baptist. She was an avid Christmas decorator and collector and enjoyed family get togethers and flower gardening.
Survivors include, her parents, her husband, her children, Samantha Jakobe of Warrensburg and Timothy Wheeldon of Lexington; and her siblings, Michael Taylor and wife Kristi of Creighton, MO, Rusty Taylor and wife Jennifer of Harrisonville, MO and Lisa Staggs and husband Jerry of Blue Springs. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Taylor.
