Lexington, Missouri

 

Ronald Gene “Ronnie” Engelbrecht, 80, of Lexington passed away November 27, 2023 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri.

 

Visitation will be Friday, December 1, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington.  The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Lexington Memory Gardens.

Ronnie was born February 28, 1943 (along with his twin brother) in Washington, Missouri to the late Robert Eugene and Lola May (Dowler) Engelbrecht.  He grew up in rural Lexington, Missouri where he attended Maple Glen Elementary School.  Ronnie is a 1961 graduate of Lexington High School.  On June 14, 1969, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Sue Linville in Parkville, Missouri.  They were married for 54 years.  Ronnie retired after a lengthy career with the Lake City Ammunition Plant.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lexington.

 

Ronnie loved his family and was proud of his children and grandchildren.  He especially enjoyed his grandchildren's activities, reading the papers from local communities, watching game shows, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.  Ronnie had a love for his many pets over the years.

 

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of the home; sons Rodney Engelbrecht (Natalie Fergason) of Norborne, Missouri and Ryan Engelbrecht (Emily) of Lexington, Missouri; granddaughters Zoe Engelbrecht, twin granddaughters Piper Engelbrecht and Phoebe Engelbrecht; grandsons Jake Engelbrecht, Drew Engelbrecht, Seth Fergason and Heath Fergason; sister Carol Lohoefener (Wayne) of Lexington, Missouri and twin brother Donald Engelbrecht (Lynn) of Allen, Texas; sister-in-law Debra Bears (Steve) of Kansas City, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

 

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Melissa Linville.
