Richard Michael Skillman, 71, of Lexington passed away April 11, 2019 at his home. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Committal Service with Military Honors will be Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville. Memorials may be made to the Sounds of the Heart. Richard was born January 15, 1948 in Easton, Pennsylvania to Richard and Olga Melnick Skillman. He married Ramona Huenefeld August 28, 1972 in Wellington. He served in the United States Army and then worked in sales and for the Sheltered Workshop. Richard was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and the Lexington Sportsmen Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mona, of the home; sons, David Skillman and wife Jennifer of Lenexa, Kansas and Devin Skillman and wife Cara of Liberty, Missouri; and grandchildren, Sophie, Henry, Adalynn and Brynn. Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
