Peggy Marie Murphy-Beretta, 92, of Lexington, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Riverbend Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lexington, Missouri.

A live stream of the funeral will be on the Lexington First Baptist Church Facebook Page at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 3, 2022. A Public graveside service will follow at Lexington Memory Gardens, Lexington, MO. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church or the Lexington VFW. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walker Nadler Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South Street, Lexington, MO, 64067.

Peggy was born on February 23, 1929, to Jess and Minnie (Kennedy) Murphy in Camden, MO. She graduated from Camden High School in Camden, MO. On February 1, 1948, Peggy was united in marriage to Joseph Anthony Beretta in Waverly, MO. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2017. She worked as seamstress for the Main Street Cleaners in Lexington for many years along with taking care of her home as a wife and mother to her two children. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include a son, AJ (Barbie) Beretta of Eagle Nest, NM; a daughter, Joy Schroer of Lexington, MO; five grandchildren, Anthony Beretta of Colorado, Timothy (Alicia) Beretta of Texas, Elana Beretta of Texas, Nathan Schroer of Missouri, and Joshua Schroer of Missouri; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Beretta of Texas and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Joseph, Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Betty Perry and Anna Olds; and four brothers, Raymond Murphy, Winston Murphy, Jay Murphy and Harold Murphy.
