Paul Warren Willard, 69, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas surrounded by his family.

 

A visitation will be held from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., Friday, March 24, 2023, at Northside Christian Church. 500 North Ridgeview Drive. Warrensburg,
MO 64093. A memorial service will be held at 10:00a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the church. A private inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Church of Hope.

Paul was born in Lexington, Missouri on August 11, 1953, to Davis Hamilton and Dorris Grace (McCoy) Willard. Paul graduated from Grain Valley High School. Paul was joined in marriage to Sarah Jane Wilson, on August 18, 1979, at the First United Methodist church in Odessa, MO. Paul worked as an auto and small engine mechanic for the majority of his career, most recently at Smith Welding and D & D trailers. Paul was a church Elder and Chairman of the Board at Church of Hope in Centerview, MO, where he was also an active member. Along with spending time with family and friends, Paul enjoyed history, watching old westerns, reading western novels, and traveling to Branson with his family. He was always trying to find ways to keep busy, whether that be fixing cars, building things, tinkering, or fabricating. Paul’s whole world was his children, grandchildren and his beloved wife, Sarah.     

 

Paul is survived by his loving wife; Sarah Jane Willard; two children, Natalie Beth (Jimmy) Tye of Warrensburg, MO, and Ashley Ann (Don) Seitter of Lone Jack, MO; five grandchildren, Matthew Tye, Ethan Tye, Heath Tye, Ryan Tye and Olivia Heaivilin; one step grandchild, Liberty Seitter; two brothers, John (Anita) Willard of Warrensburg and David (Cindy) Willard of Jackson, TN, along with numerous relatives and friends. 

 

Paul was preceded in death by both his parents; and a sister, Ann Goll.

 

Paul was a devoted son, spouse, father,  grandfather, Christian, leader, mentor, friend and neighbor. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
