Patsy Ruth (Oakes) Jordan

Patsy Ruth (Oakes) Jordan, 88 of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Tuesday June 4, 2024, at Anew Healthcare in Odessa, MO surrounded by family.

Patsy was born on August 4, 1935, in Kansas City, MO to David Edward and Virginia Edith (McCombs) Oakes.  On December 22, 1951, Patsy was united in marriage to Donnie “Don” Lee Jordan in Kansas City, MO.  Patsy was a member of the Concord Baptist Church and played the church piano for many years.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Patsy enjoyed cooking.   

Patsy is survived by her husband of 72 years, Don Jordan of Odessa, MO; two children, Gary Don (Delores) Jordan of Odessa, MO and Sheryl Ann Withrow of Odessa, MO; four grandchildren, Melissa Dawn Jordan of Blue Springs, MO, Jalah Jordan of Odessa, MO, Eric Ryan (Holly) Withrow of Blue Springs, MO, and James “Darrin” Withrow of Odessa, MO; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a brother, Ronald Eugene (Ella) Smith of Lenexa, KS; a brother-in-law, Arie “Chuck” Jones, Jr. of Independence, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.  

Patsy was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Lee Jordan, Jr.; her father, David Edward Oakes; mother, Virginia Edith Todd; stepfather, Olen V. Smith; a sister, Phyllis Jean Jones; and a brother, Olin Smith, Jr.
