Patricia Lorraine Watson

Patricia “Patty” Lorraine (Yocum) Watson, 82, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Health and Rehab in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. 

Visitation will be held from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Community of Christ, 515 S 1^st St, Odessa, Missouri, 64076. A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the church. Inurnment to follow at Odessa Cemetery. Patty was born June 22, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri to Raymond C. and Lilly (McGuire) Yocum. She graduated in 1959 from East High School in Kansas City. Patty retired after 41 years from the Bank of Odessa as a receptionist and secretary. Patty was united in marriage on June 27, 1959, to Harold Seymour Watson in Independence, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2019. She was an active member of Community of Christ. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. In her spare time, you could often find Patty with a good book in her hands as she was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones, and playing games and hosting bridge. Patty was an avid Kansas City Chiefs Fan. In the past, Patty loved teaching youth choir and Sunday School and engaging with the adult choir at Community of Christ. Patty and Harold enjoyed square dancing and hosting dinner parties. Patty also had a passion for Irish culture and had dreams of traveling with her late husband, Harold.

Patty is survived by two children, Lorraine L. Watson of Odessa, MO, and Gregory “Greg” W. (Tammy) Watson of Lexington, MO; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Adam) Miller, Jill Watson, Jacquelyn Knox, Shane (Meaghan Pappas) Solst, Timothy Sheets, Billy Mackey, Quintin Mackey, and Devin Mackey; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many relatives, and friends.  

Patty was preceded in death by both her parents and husband.
