Patricia Ann Hook, 88, of Lexington passed away April 28, 2025 at her home surrounded by family and friends.
Pat was born July 3, 1936 in Bonner Springs, Kansas to Frank and Gertrude Honeywell. She married Harrison Hook on August 4, 1984 in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death February 22, 2020.
In her adult life she once modeled for Harzfelds. For years she owned a jewelry and gift store in Independence and a Plumbing Supply store as well. Her faith was a guiding light for her. Her compassion and caring were evident to people who knew her. She loved to laugh!
In Independence she was an active member of the Young Matrons. She ran the children’s theater, numerous homes tours and fashion shows. They were very active in the Shriners.
Pat and Harry had Strictly Victorian, the gift and antique store in Lexington. They were actively involved in the Lexington Chamber of Commerce. Together with Georgia and Jerry Brown they bought the first trolley for Lexington. She was Treasurer for the Lexington Historical Association and Museum. Pat and Harry were involved with the American Legion. They were early investors in the movie theater and they were original supporters of LIVE! In Lexington. After closing the store they created P&H Event Center.
Pat is survived by her children, Debi Cook (Bob), Scherrie Stanley (Dave), Ric Sexton and Todd Sexton (Susan); seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her beloved dog, Sasha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter, and her brother, Jesse Honeywell.
Memorials may be sent to Lexington Animal Shelter, in care of Lexington City Hall, 919 Franklin Avenue, Lexington, MO 64067.
Private inurnment will be at a later date.
