Myrna Elizabeth (Boyer) Wallace of Lexington, MO passed away on December 10, 2021.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lexington, Memory Gardens. Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Church of Christ, the Four Life Center, or the Higginsville Habilitation Parents Association. Myrna was born January 11, 1936, to Loy and Pauline (Hawkins) Boyer, during a snowstorm. She graduated from Prairie School in Carroll County MO in 1950. She graduated from Stet High School in 1954. In September 1954 she attended Missouri Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in St. Joseph, MO. She completed her training August 31, 1957.

Her first job was at the Lexington Memorial Hospital, she started September 1, 1957, as a night supervisor. She worked as the DON at Lafayette Manor Nursing Home. She then went to work for the Higginsville Habilitation Center and retired in March 2000. She went back to HHC and worked part time for a while. She was also the nurse for several community group homes. She loved nursing and helping others. She was a licensed nurse for over 50 years.

She married James Wallace on December 8, 1961, in Clinton, MO during another snowstorm. James passed away November 7,2010.

She is survived by daughter Lori (Mike) Johnson of Lexington, MO, son Scott (Ella) Wallace, of Waverly, MO, one stepdaughter Pam (Steve) Reynolds of Overland Park KS and one stepson Mike (Vickie) Wallace of Venice Beach, FL.

She is survived by 3 grandchildren Samantha Johnson (Andrew Teegarden) of Lexington, MO, Amanda Johnson (Quinton Crowell) of Kansas City, MO and Loy Wallace of Waverly MO. And 6 step grandchildren, Christopher (Mistie) Wallace of Olive Branch MS, Jennifer (Andy)Vroegindewey of Midlothian, VA, Christian Reynolds of Overland Park KS, Lauren Reynolds of Overland Park, KS. Christie (Ronnie) Johnson of Lexington, MO and Megan (Brad) Butler of Concordia, MO. She is survived by 1 great granddaughter, Zoey and 14 step great grandchildren. Blake, Brody, Quinn, Kale, Harlow, Lariah, Ezekiel, Nakova, Kyrstin, Courtney, Colton, Ariahna, Gracie and Mia. She is survived by 1 sister Laundra Anderson of Braymer, MO and 1 brother Donnie Boyer of Norborne, MO, one sister-in-law Mary Wallace and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Lexington, Circle #2, the local ARMSE Group, worked at the Lexington Clothes Closet and served in many different capacities at the Lexington 4 Life Center.
