Mary Jane Davis

Mary Jane (Mueller) Davis, 90, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away on January 22, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Clinic in Blue Springs, Missouri.  

A visitation will be held from 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 South Second Street, Odessa, Missouri 64076. Mary Jane was born April 1, 1932, in Blackburn, Missouri to Sam and Ida (Kueck) Mueller. She married John Ostermeyer of Odessa, Missouri and they had 6 children: David, Peggy, Larry, Jim, Dale, and Brian. That marriage later ended. Mary Jane married James (Jimmy) Davis on August 10, 1985. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1986. Mary Jane loved the country life. She loved being outdoors whether it was working in the garden, tending to her flowers, putting together puzzles, feeding the birds or watching the farmers in the field. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends most of all.

Mary Jane is survived by her 6 children; David Ostermeyer (Cecillia) of Bogard, Missouri; Peggy Leidig of Washington, Kansas; Jim Ostermeyer (Karen) of Odessa, Missouri; Larry Ostermeyer (Teresa) of Odessa, Missouri; Dale Ostermeyer (Becky) of Odessa, Missouri and Brian Ostermeyer of Odessa, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; Jamie, Holly, Russell, Chad, Amy, Jeremy, Matt, Allen, Kelly, Cord, Andrea, Patricia, Jason, Alisha, Adam and Matt. Many great grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.  

Mary Jane is preceded in death by both her parents, sister; Katherine Mundwiller and a son-in-law; Lonnie Leidig.
