Martin B. Forsha

Martin B. Forsha, 95 of Lexington, MO passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Martin was born January 28, 1917 in Wellington, MO, to Martin N. and Jewell Medley Forsha. He married Marvel Haesemeyer on August 3, 1936 in Richmond, MO. They were married 70 years before her passing. Mr. Forsha was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lexington. Martin was brought to the waters of Holy Baptism on October 10, 1937, and was confirmed in the faith on January 17, 1943. He had retired from Missouri Public Service where he had been a line foreman. He was a member of IBEW Union for 65 years. Martin is survived by four children: Jewell Chamberlain, Lexington, Nancy Bowles and husband, Edwin, of Richmond, Deborah Lee and husband, Jesse, Higginsville, Rick Forsha and wife, Sharon, Richmond. A sister, Lois Mae Forsha, Wellington, brother Robert F. Forsha and wife, Maria, Independence. There are eight grandchildren: Tammy Langewisch (Randy), Kimmy Gideon (Robert), , Staci Harvey, Brian McKown (Michelle), Devin Carney, Brayce Forsha, (Emily) , Bart Forsha, and Brinna Ford (James). There are 12 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a daughter, Cecelia Forsha, a brother, Fred L. Searle, and sister, Mary E. McCall. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, at Grace Lutheran Church, Lexington. Services will immediately follow at 11:00 A.M., Friday. Burial in Lexington Memory Gardens.
