Marilyn Elizabeth Mautino

September 15, 1940 — October 17, 2021

Marilyn Elizabeth Mautino, 81, of Lexington passed away October 17, 2021 at Belton Regional Hospital. Visitation will be Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lexington. The Rosary will be prayed at 12:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will also be on Saturday at the church at 12:30 pm. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lexington. Memorials may be made to the Msgr. Joseph Mancuso Catholic Education Program, in care of Columbian Charities, Inc. Memories and condolences may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com. Marilyn was born September 15, 1940 to Lawrence and Mary (Nave) Hesler in Mayview. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1958, attended Benedictine College and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Arizona. On August 15, 1970 she married Louis Mautino in Lexington. Marilyn taught in Tucson, Arizona, Redwood City, California, Kansas City, Missouri and Richmond before taking time off to raise her family. After raising her family she taught for over 20 years at St. Ann's School in Sugar Creek. Marilyn was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. After retiring from teaching, Marilyn's joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Marilyn loved music and bird watching and enjoyed traveling all over the world with the Knights of Columbus.

Marilyn is survived by her children, John Mautino and wife Amanda of Lee's Summit, Christopher Mautino and wife Amy of Lee's Summit and Jennifer Martin and husband Chris of Columbia, Missouri; four grandchildren, Isabella Mautino, Luke Mautino, Christopher Mautino and Lilly Martin; sisters, Barbara Cattle of Belton, Margaret Updyke and husband Clarence of Tucson, Joan Bardach of Tucson and Debbie Friebus of Tucson; and beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Mary Carolyn Collins and brother, Larry Joe Hesler.
