Loria Janiece Schwermer

Loria Janiece (Hammond) Schwermer, 66, of Wellington, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Lexington United Methodist Church, 1211 S. Business Hwy 13, Lexington, Missouri 64067. Loria was born on March 12, 1959, in Carrollton, Missouri to Lewis and Janice (Markley) Hammond. In 1977, she graduated from Wellington Napoleon High School. Loria retired after 43 years working for Hallmark Corporate as a selector. Along with spending time with family and friends, Loria enjoyed watching older westerns, going out to eat and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.

Loria is survived by two sons, Zackery (Sarah) Schwermer of Lee’s Summit, MO and Austen (Jenna) Schwermer of Lee’s Summit, MO; her mother, Janice Hammond of Wellington, MO; two grandchildren, Erick and Emmy Schwermer; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Loria was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Hammond; one brother, Marvin Hammond; and one sister, Edith Hammond.
