Larry Hugh Sharon, 85 of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 20109 Bus. MO-13, Higginsville, MO, 64037. Larry was born on January 30, 1940, in Trenton, MO to Maurice and Naomi (Morrell) Sharon. He graduated in 1958 from Trenton High School in Trenton, MO. After high school Larry enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country honorably for many years. He retired from the United States Air Force on January 30, 2000. On July 27, 1970, he was united in marriage to Nancy Kaye Price in Richmond, MO. She preceded him in death on December 18, 2024. Larry also retired from Green’s Quarries after 30 plus years of service. He was a member of the Stover First Baptist Church in Stover, MO, American Legion, and the Teamsters Local 541. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Larry enjoyed fishing, woodworking, refurbishing pocket watches, and watching car races of all types.

Larry is survived by three children, Jimmy Durkee (Dawnah) of Shawnee Mission, KS, Matthew (Pam) Sharon of Eldon, MO, and Amy (Jeremy) Buckallew of Lexington, MO; 16 grandchildren, Jade, Tyler, Kendall, Chandler, Jamie, Keaton, Collin, Jordan, Josh, Moriah, Mark, Jason, Ashley, Marissa, Blair, and Samantha; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Sharon; two sisters, Connie Gass and Deana Wiggins; and a brother in infancy, Buddy Sharon.
