Larry Dean Brown

Larry Dean Brown, 68 of Bates City, Missouri passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO surrounded by his loving family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., June 16, 2026 at Cobb Cemetery in rural Odessa, MO. Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Lorie Brown for a charity to be chosen at a later date. Larry was born on February 9, 1958 in Holden, MO to Charlie F. and Ruby Joyce (Murry) Brown. He married the love of his life, Claudia JoLynn (Allen) Brown on May 10, 2003 in Buckner, MO. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2024. Larry was a member of Griffith Baptist Church. He worked most of his life in construction and tree trimming. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Larry enjoyed coon hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include three children, Larry Dean Brown, II of Lebanon, MO, Charles Harold Jacob Brown of Odessa, MO, and Lorie JoLynn Brown of Odessa, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Larry was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Peterson; and two brothers, Charles Brown and David Brown.
