Kenneth Dale Dyer, 87, of Marshall, Missouri, formerly of Waverly, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Legendary Nursing Home in Marshall, Missouri.

 

An inurnment will be hosted by the family at 11:00a.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Higginsville Veteran Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.  Memorials are suggested to the Waverly JC’s.  Memories of Kenneth and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245. 

 

Kenneth was born in Corydon, Iowa on March 20, 1936, to Paul and Beulah (McCarty) Dyer. Kenneth was united in marriage to Betty Dyer on November 20, 1972, in Iowa. She preceded him in death. Kenneth proudly served our country and joined the United State Air Force from 1953 to 1957, after serving many years he retired from the Iowa National Guard. After serving, he worked for Iowa Lutheran Hospital as a Biomed Tech where he retired. Kenneth was a member of the Moose Lodge in Des Moines, Iowa. Along with spending time with family and friends, Kenneth enjoyed playing poker, fishing, and antiquing.    

 

Kenneth is survived by five children, Debbie Conn of Taylor, Texas, Darrell Dyer of Honolulu, Hawaii, Dwight (Myrna) Dyer of Chariton, Iowa, Kim (Hamilton) Little of Waverly, Missouri and Debbie Dover of Independence, Missouri; two sisters, Carol Ann Ferguson of Camp Verde, Arizona, and Barbara Dyer of Flagstaff, Arizona; one brother, Phil Dyer of Ferndale, Washington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many relative and friends. 

 

Kenneth was preceded in death by both his parents; his wife, Betty Dyer; two children, David Dyer and Cary Dyer; grandchildren, Rachel Williams and Jimmy Dyer; and one brother, Donnie Dyer.
