Joyce Ann (Vidmar) Spease, 76, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO.

 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2023, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245.  A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2023, at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to the VFW Post 4052 Auxiliary or the Lexington Food Pantry.  Memories of Joyce and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page. 

 

Joyce was born on June 16, 1946, in Lexington, MO to Richard and Alma (Appleby) Vidmar.  On July 3, 1987, Joyce was united in marriage to Larry Spease in Lexington, MO.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family and home.  Joyce was a member of the VFW Post 4052 Auxiliary.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Joyce enjoyed reading, traveling, especially to the mountains, and watching her hummingbirds. 

 

Joyce is survived by her husband of 35 years, Larry Spease of Lexington, MO; five children, Lori Davis of Blue Springs, MO, Robert Ford and wife Francesca of Shelton, Connecticut, Randy Spease and wife Jennifer of Lexington, MO, Tina Schneider and husband Josh of Odessa, MO, and Lisa Wyse and husband Glen of Lexington, MO; eight grandchildren, Terra Carter, Jacob Ford, Elena Ford, Erik Wingo, Cody Spease, Jason Spease, Justin Spease, and Tyler Doerr; three great-grandchildren, Taitum Lyons, Logan Wingo, and Rilee Wingo; one sister, Cindy Vidmar of Clinton, MO; one brother, Mark Appleby and wife Rene of Lexington, MO; and many relatives and friends. 

 

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ford.
