Jacob Ray Means, 73, of Lexington, passed away June 16, 2018 at Research Medical Center. The family will host funeral services on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Presbyterian-Disciples Church, Lexington. Visitation will also be on Sunday at the church from 1:00 to 2:00pm. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Jake was born April 1, 1945 in Lexington to Fred and Agnes (Key) Means. He worked as a laborer for Lafayette County Enterprises and was a member of the Presbyterian-Disciples Church.

Jake is survived by two sisters, Lela Bryant and Edith Street of Lexington; nephews, Andy Bryant of Lexington and Randy Bryant of Richmond; nieces, Angie Chapman and husband David of Buckner and Candy Myers and husband MJ of Lexington; and many great nephews, great nieces, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Freida Means, Mary Case and Donna Anderson; brother, Ralph Anderson; and nephews, Jimmy Case and Tommy Jo Case.
