Inez Evelyn (Goldsmith) Waterworth, 91 of Wellington, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, MO.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenton Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Nap-Well Homemakers. Inez was born on February 20, 1934, in Embree, MO to Jones William and Mary May (Cunningham) Goldsmith. She graduated from Plato High School in Plato, MO. Inez received her bachelor’s degree in education from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO. On July 19, 1953, Inez was united in marriage to Jackie “Jack” Dean Waterworth in Embree, MO. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2022. Inez retired from the Blue Springs School District as a teacher after many years of service. She was a member of Lexington First Assembly of God Church in Lexington, MO where she served at the church pianist for many years. Inez was a member of Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Nap-Well Homemakers. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Inez enjoyed sewing, she was an avid sports fan, especially volleyball.
Inez is survived by three children, Mike (Gwen) Waterworth of Wellington, MO, Sherry (Mark) Young of Boulder, CO, and Steve (Susan) Waterworth of Odessa, MO; ten grandchildren, Mike Waterworth II, Logan (Courtney) Waterworth, Andrew Young, Alex Young, Adam Young, Alison Young, Atticus Young, Blaine (Nikki) Waterworth, Blake (Sheila) Waterworth, Britney (Lonnie) Waterworth; five great grandchildren, Lucas Waterworth, Jackson Waterworth, Hadley Waterworth, Gracyn Waterworth, and Austyn Waterworth; two sisters, Treva (Jack) Burgener of Liberty, MO and Glenice (Calvin) Hall of Springfield, MO; three brothers, Herbert (Glenda) Goldsmith of Independence, MO, Ralph (Debi) Goldsmith of Grain Valley, MO, and Edwin Goldsmith of Bay City, MI; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Inez was preceded in death by a sister Lavell Crismon.
