Henry Earl Ray Henry Earl Ray, 90, of Lexington, MO passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington. Henry Ray was born July 10, 1920 in Hodge, MO, the son of John Henry and Grace Margaret Belt Ray. He married Laura Nell Skaggs, he later, married Eva M. Fletcher in June of 1966, she preceded him in death in June of 2004. Mr. Ray worked on the railroad, in the maintenance department at Lake City and later at the Bendix Corporation. He owned and operated Rays Boats and Campers in Henrietta, MO for several years. Mr. Ray is survived by two daughters: Mary (Donald) Schreier of Lexington and Ruth (Larry) Davis of Wellington, MO. Five grandchildren: Donna (Alan) Lichte, Kevin (Melanie) Schreier, Jimmy (Dana) Davis, Michael (Chong MI) Davis, Barry (Gretchen) Davis. Three step-children: Jim Trainer, Odessa, Carol Harlin, Gladstone, Janet Parker, Kansas City, MO. Two brothers: George W. Ray, Dover and Johnnie E. Ray, Grain Valley, MO. Two sisters: Minnie Leona Murry, of Arkansas and Ellen Mae Crump, Laurie City, MO. There are 18 great-grandchildren, numerous step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Harmon M. Ray, two sisters: Mildred Katherine Zink and Elsie Gertrude Ray. Services will be 3 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington, MO. Burial in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimers Association.
