Helen Vivian Ruckdeschel

Helen Vivian Ruckdeschel, 88, of Lexington passed away June 12, 2025 at Riverbend Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation, Lexington. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Helen was born November 12, 1936 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Harrison and Viola Mae (Hollingsworth) Lawson. She married Marion Ruckdeschel, he preceded her in death. Helen was a homemaker and a seasonal worker in the apple orchards. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include her children, Billie Ruckdeschel (Linn Ward) of Lexington, Tina McClendon (David) of Winterhaven, FL, Kathie Bosche of Virginia Beach, VA, Jim Rushton (Rhonda) of Lee’s Summit and Donna Rushton-McNally of Lone Jack; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, many siblings and her granddaughter, Jessica Shrum.
