Helen June (Rodabaugh) Bozarth, 96, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at Anew Health and Rehab in Odessa, Missouri, surrounded by her family.
Per Helen’s wishes, cremation with a private graveside at a later date. Memorials are suggested to New Horizon Presbyterian Church or the Odessa Senior Center and may be mailed to the funeral home. Helen was born on October 14, 1926, in Odessa, MO to Joe and Minnie (Rodabaugh) Manking. She graduated from Odessa High School in Odessa, MO and then from Central Missouri State Teachers College in Warrensburg, MO. Helen was an elementary school teacher and librarian for 30 years. On December 21, 1946, she was united in marriage to Robert Martin Bozarth in Warrensburg, MO. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2016. Helen was a member of the New Horizon Presbyterian Church and the church choir. She also taught Sunday School.
Helen is survived by her son, James A. Bozarth and his wife, Dixie Pollard Bozarth of Blue Springs, MO; three grandchildren, Kara Cook of Odessa, MO and husband Craig, J.R. Bozarth of Butte, Montana and wife Casey, and Adam M. Bozarth of Climax Springs, MO and wife Jamie; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Manking and a sister in infancy, Dora Mae Manking.
