George Dwayne Odom, 53, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at home.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, 100 West Highway OO, Odessa, MO 64076. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 p.m. Saturday April 6, 2019 at the church. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church. George was born on January 23, 1966 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Peggy Odom. He married Dennine Lyn (Valentich) Odom on March 1, 2008 in Odessa, MO. He worked as a claims manager for over 15 years at OOIDA in Grain Valley, MO. George was a member of the First Baptist Church, Ducks Unlimited, NRA and NWTF. In addition to spending time with family and friends, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his mother, Peggy Odom of Higginsville, MO; wife Dennine Lyn Odom of Odessa, MO; two children, Brandon Madden of Freeman, MO and Hope Turner of Odessa, MO; a brother, Terry Dickerson and wife Nan of Katy, TX; two sisters, Kimberly Everette and husband Ronnie and Wandella Miller and husband Quentin of Concordia, MO; maternal grandmother, Marie Odom of Autryville, North Carolina; father-in-law, Jim Valentich of Harrisonville, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
