George Earl Hackler, 76, of Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 09, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family.
A Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, June 20, 2025, at Lexington United Methodist Church, 1211 S. Business Hwy 13, Lexington, Missouri. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm at the church. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association. George was born on October 14, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri to Russell Briney and Carrie Kathryn (Ashford) Hackler. In 1967, George graduated from Lexington High School. After high school, George honorably served his country by enlisting in the Army National Guard. After 40 years, George retired from KCPL as a lineman. On July 1, 1989, George was united in marriage to Judy (Ledbetter) Hackler in Warrensburg, Missouri. George was an Elder at the First Christian Church of Lexington. He was a member of the Johnson Cattleman’s Association. Along with spending time with family and friends, George enjoyed farming, raising birds, and watching the purple martin birds as he drank his morning coffee.
George is survived by his wife, Judy Hackler of the home, three children, Kimberly (James) Levy of Odessa, MO, George “Chris” (Sunny) Hackler of Hanscom, MA, and Joseph “Marty” (Pam) Hackler of Holt Summit, MO; two step children, Richard Aldrich of Grandview, MO, and Cristal Mitchell of Grandview, MO; nine grandchildren, Kyle Levy, Ian Levy, George Hackler, Emma Hackler, Fiona Hackler, Alexander Hackler, Alexandra Roman, and Jackson Roman, four great-grandchildren, Caden Levy, Lucy Levy, Delilah Rhoades, and Asher Rhoades; two sisters, Carol (Carl) Ghisalberti and Mary Kathryn “Kathy” (Charles) Schmid; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
George was preceded in death by both his parents, a grandchild, Daniel Levy, and a brother Russell Winston Hackler.
