Frederick "Fred" Ray Underwood

Frederick Ray Underwood, 83, of Odessa, MO went to be with the Lord November 17, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.

Fred was born July 20, 1939, in Covington, Hill County Texas to Fred Oliver Underwood and Mary Ann Miller Underwood.  On April 13, 1973, he married Judy Green in Kansas City, Missouri.

He attended Southeast High School in Kansas City, MO.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957-1963.  Fred retired from Ford Motor Company in 2002 and traveled with Advanced Metal Finishing for several years as a trainer.  He attended Community Bible Church in Odessa, MO.

Fred will be remembered as a loving father and a devoted husband. He loved working on cars,

spending time with his family, making them laugh and teasing his grandchildren.  His children could always depend on him for help and support.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; his children Mark Henning (Mary) of Holden, Missouri; Lisa Silvey (Vince) of Nashville, Tennessee; Lesli Hamilton (William) of Higginsville, Missouri; his brother, Duane Underwood of Raytown, Missouri; and grandchildren Seth Henning, Oliver Silvey, Eva Silvey, and Ashlyn Hamilton.

A private family graveside service was held on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Greenton Cemetery in Odessa, Missouri.  Memorials are suggested to the Community Bible Church.  Memories of Frederick and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Ralph O.
