Etha Lee Porter

Etha Lee (Green) Porter, 88, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be Friday, June 13, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenton Cemetery. Etha was born on September 27, 1936, in Braggs, Oklahoma to Edgar Lawrence and Bertha (Isbel) Green. She attended Archie High School. While tending and caring for the home, Etha was a cook for Odessa High School. On October 17, 1954, Etha was united in marriage to David Earl Porter in Reno, Nevada. He proceeded her in death on May 19, 2025. Along with spending time with family and friends, Etha enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and especially spoiling her beloved grandchildren.

Etha was survived by two children, Bob (Gail) Porter of Odessa, MO and Dave (Janet) Porter of Vian, OK; five grandchildren, Bobby Porter of Odessa, MO, Jesse Porter of Blue Springs, MO, Nathan (Tracy) Porter of Austin, TX, Damian Porter of Austin, TX, and Nicole (Ryan Mojica) Porter-Mojica of Austin, TX; seven great-grandchildren, Seth Porter, Dylan Porter, Wyatt Porter, Gabriella Porter, Delilah Porter, Maverick Mojica, and Preslee Mojica; three sisters, Linda, Peggy, Brenda; one brother, Sonny and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Etha was preceded in death by both her parents, and her loving husband of 70 years; two sisters, Joy and Ann; three, brothers, Danny, Bob, and Johnny.
