Esther Delories (Cox) Motley

Esther Delories Motley, 90, of Lexington, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, at Lafayette Regional Health Center surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lexington, MO.  Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association or Epilepsy Foundation.  Memories of Esther and condolences for her family may be left at www.LedfordFAmilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page. 

Esther was born April 30, 1933, in St. Louis, MO to Leland and Bertha (Biddick) Cox. Eshter attended Mount Zion School. She was united in marriage to Elmer Motley on January 1, 1951, in Bowling Green, MO. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2006. Throughout Esther's life, she had a nurturing spirit which was evident in her role as a dedicated homemaker. Along with spending time with family, Esther had a big heart for her cats, enjoyed watching tv and cooking.

Esther is survived by four children, Linda Motley of Lexington, MO, Richard Motley of Lexington, MO, Pamela Bramlett of Lexington, MO, and Marsha Eaton of Lexington, MO, 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

Along with both parents and husband, Esther was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Motley; three grandchildren, Rita Motley, Sherry Chapell, and Tammy Bramlett; one great-grandchild, Ann Marie Adkison; five brothers, Leland Cox, George Cox, Andrew Lauer, Milton Lauer and Carl Lauer; one sister, Lela Boots, and one half-sister, Marie Hubbard.
