Emilie Jean Smith, 56, of Lexington, Missouri passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, at CenterPoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. 

 A family hosted Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.., Tuesday July 2, 2024, at the VFW Post 4052, 3109 Franklin Ave. Lexington, MO 64067.  Emilie was born August 6, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri to Norman and Lorraine (Eaton) Smith. She graduated from Lexington High School. Along with spending time with family and friends, Emilie enjoyed collecting wolves, crocheting and listening to old country music. 

 Emilie is survived by two children, Roxanne Nuzzo of Willcox AZ, and Blake (Bryell) Smith of Warrensburg, MO; two grandchildren, Zylus Nuzzo and Luke Tarvin; four brothers, Jimmy Ashby, Lloyd Smith, Norman Smith, and Johnny Ashby; four sisters, Audrey Thompson, Susan Hill, Velva Baynes, and Samantha Smith; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

 Along with both her parents, Emilie was preceded in death by three sisters, Dian Howell, Nancy Farley, and Delenna Beyer; her nephew, Jessy Dean Smith; and her life partner, William “Corky” Goodwin.
