Dian Margret (Ashby) Howell, 68, of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, MO.

The family will host a celebration of life Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Lexington VFW Post 4052, 3109 Franklin Ave, Lexington, MO, 64067. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 South Street, Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245. Dian was born on March 18, 1953, to John Franklin and Lorraine Idalee (Eaton) Ashby in Kansas City, MO. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Dian enjoyed cooking, garage sales, and riding her scooter.

Survivors include four children, Michael Anthony Howell and wife, Grace, of Lexington, MO, Angela Lorraine Howell of Higginsville, MO, Ronald Eugene Howell of Lexington, MO, and Jessica Lorraine Howell of Lexington, MO; six sisters, Audrey Thompson and husband, Richard, of Lexington, MO, Susan Hill of Springhill, KS, Emily Smith of Lexington, MO, Samantha Rose and husband, Mitch, of Marshall, MO, Delana Smith of Lexington, MO, and Velva Smith of Kansas City, MO; four brothers, Jimmy Eugene Ashby of Orrick, MO, John Ashby and wife, Carol of Wellington, MO, Norman Smith of Lexington, MO, and Lloyd Smith of Colorado; seven grandchildren, Savannah, Austin, Frankie, Kayla, Dylan, Brenden, and Madelynne; five great grandchildren, Harper, Jameson, Ryatt, Sayler, and Elias; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Dian was preceded in death by her father, John Franklin Ashby; mother and stepfather, Lorraine Idalee (Eaton) and Norman Smith; and a sister, Nancy Farley.
