Dennis Fredrick Cross

Dennis Fredrick Cross, 56 of Bates City, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at St. Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, MO.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2^nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2024, at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Dustin Cross.  Memories of Dennis and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.

Dennis was born on August 18, 1967, in Kansas City, MO to Dennis Fredrick and Edith Laverta (Epply) Cross.  Dennis owned and operated Cross Heating and Cooling for 10 years.  He was currently employed with Clemons Real Estate as a Maintenance Technician.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Dennis was an avid woodworker and enjoyed fishing.   Dennis had a love for music and was a talented guitarist.  In his younger years he played in a band Redline. He will be missed by all who had the honor to know him. 

Dennis is survived by his mother, Edith Costa of Maysville, MO; four children, Patricia Cross and companion Aaron Longie of Devils Lake, North Dakota, Amanda Queen of San Antonia, Texas, Jacque Cross of Hutchinson, Kansas and Dustin Cross and wife Jessica of Bates City, MO; numerous grandchildren; three sisters, Karen Taylor of Maysville, MO, Shirley Savage of Maysville, MO, and Jennifer Bearce of Lubbock, Texas; three brothers, Howard Bearce of Lubbock, Texas, David Hinkle and wife Donna of Eufaula, Oklahoma, and Vernon Cross of Maysville, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, and a daughter in infancy, Chelsea Marie Cross.
