Debra “Debby” Ann (Weaver) Ottmer, 72, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025, at St. Luke’s East in Lee’s Summit, Missouri surrounded by her loving family.
The family will host a celebration of life on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri with more details to follow. Memorials are suggested to Alissa’s Hope or Pound Pals of Lexington. Debby was born on May 14, 1953, in Marion, Ohio to David and Phyllis (Weaver) Weaver. She graduated from Pattonville High School in St. Louis. After high school, she received her associate’s degree in nursing from Sanford Brown in St. Louis.
Debby spent part of her working career being an LPN, then many years as a service agent for TWA. She was also owner and operator of Ottmer Acres. She attended Grace Church in St. Louis. Debby was a member of Alissa’s Hope and founded the Immune Deficiency Foundation. On August 24, 1996, Debby was united in marriage to James “Jim” Michael Ottmer in St. Ann, Missouri. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and had a green thumb for flowers and gardening. Along with spending time with family and friends, Debby enjoyed fishing, hiking, traveling, concert going, baking, bargain shopping, chocolate, and bird watching while drinking coffee in her sunroom.
Debby is survived by her loving husband, James “Jim” Michael Ottmer of Odessa, MO; three children, Jennifer (Douglas) Winston of Waukegan, IL, Sarah (Jason) Wacker of St. Louis, MO, and Elizabeth (Shawn) Walker of Lee’s Summit, MO; nine grandchildren, Aubreigh, Iszabelle (Jacob), Kayla, Lucas (Tiffanie), Koda, Simon, Alice, Isaac, and Nathan; four great-grandchildren, Hank, Jaycob, Sara, and Oakley; a sister, Sharon (Steve) Mattingly of St. Louis, MO; nieces, Crystal (Marcia), Steph (Adam), Taylor, Morgan, Corynne, Vivian, and Elsa; nephews, Jason (Tiffanie), Corben, Chance, Alex, and Jacob; a daughter-in-law, Stacy Holper; a sister-in-law, Mei-Li (Justin) Hyers; a brother-in-law, Richard Ottmer; and many other relatives and friends.
Along with both her parents, Debby was preceded in death by her son, Micah Holper; and two brothers, Bruce Weaver and Mike Weaver.
