Andrew Jack Runyon, 82, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Burial with Military Rites will be held in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family. Condolences for the family may be left at www.ralphojones.com. Jack was born on November 11, 1930, in Kansas City, MO to Andrew Jay and Dessie Ellen (Hamilton) Runyon. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. On January 22, 1954 he married Delores Darlene (Wright) Runyon who preceded him in death on January 26, 2011. Jack owned and operated Jack Runyon Construction in Odessa where he was a concrete finisher for many years. Jack was very active in the Odessa V.F.W Post 5675 and the Odessa American Legion Post 286. He served as an Honor Guard for both the V.F.W and the American Legion. His hobbies include hunting and fishing. Jack is survived by three children, Sharon Haney and husband Jerry of Odessa, MO, Joe Runyon and wife Anna of Odessa, MO and Randy Runyon of Odessa, MO; eleven grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Runyon and wife Dorothy of Apache Junction, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by four sisters, Betty Greenway, Vivian Emerson, Barbara Williams and Terry Stowell.
