Lexington, Missouri

 

Cynthia “Cindy” Lorene (Hinton) Turner, 63 of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Kindred Hospital Northland in Kansas City, MO surrounded by her husband and children.

 

Cindy was born on September 18, 1958, in Lexington, MO to Claude and Lorene (Eastridge) Hinton.  She graduated from Lexington High School in 1976.  On July 25, 1976, she was united in marriage to Randy Lee Turner.  Cindy worked with her father in the late 70’s at the Lexington News and then at the License Bureau for many years.  She also worked at several car dealerships as a bookkeeper. Once her grandchildren, some of her greatest joys in her life were born, Cindy became a “Mimi” and decided to stay home and help take care of them.  She also volunteered at the Discovery Room preschool where she was also known as “Mimi”.  In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Cindy loved cheering on her grandchildren as they played sports and enjoyed attending their activities.  Cindy also loved summertime, the beach, laying by the pool getting a tan and after summer was over, she was ready for some Chiefs football. Cindy was a beautiful free spirit with a giving heart. 

 

Cindy is survived by her husband, Randy Turner of Lexington, MO; two children, Zak Turner (Jennifer Logan) of Lexington, MO, and Fallon Adkins and husband Brian of Lexington, MO; three grandchildren, Hunter Adkins, Jaxson Turner, and Jase Adkins; one sister, Patricia Goers (Dale) of Moberly, MO; two brothers, Gene Hinton (Myong) of Leavenworth, KS, and James Hinton (Clara) Villa Ridge, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.  

 

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents. 

 

A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Brain Aneurysm Foundation,
