Corey Alan Wasmer, 43, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

Interment will be in Greenton Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family in care of Paula Wasmer for a charity to be chosen at a later date. Memories of Corey and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.

Corey was born on May 3, 1983, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Phillip Dean and Paula Mitchell (Sharp) Wasmer. He graduated from Odessa High School in 2002 and later attended Universal Technical Institute in Texas, where he received his autobody certification. Corey had a natural interest and talent for working with cars, and he built a career doing something he enjoyed. At the time of his passing, he was the manager of Carstar in Lexington, Missouri.

Those who knew Corey knew there was never just one way to describe him. He had a personality all his own and a wide variety of interests that kept life interesting. He loved motorcycles and could spend hours enjoying them. He had a creative side that came through in his laser engraving, and he enjoyed collecting shoes and watches. He loved watching movies, firing up the grill for a good barbecue, and, most of all, spending time with the people who mattered to him.

His family was an important part of his life. Corey treasured the time he spent with his parents, brothers, nieces, nephews, and friends. He also had a special companion in his beloved dog, Rolo, who was a faithful part of his life and brought him plenty of happiness. The memories made during family gatherings, time with friends, and the everyday moments that may have seemed ordinary at the time will now be among the most precious memories his loved ones carry with them.

Corey is survived by his parents, Phillip and Paula Wasmer of Odessa, MO; two brothers, Christopher Paul Wasmer of Lake Ozark, MO, and Casey (Amy) Wasmer of Oak Grove, MO; four nieces, Justice (Darren) Jones, Liberty Wasmer, Serenity Wasmer, and Carolina Wasmer; four nephews, Carter Wasmer, Camden Wasmer, Carson Wasmer, and Cruz Wasmer; former significant other, Jennifer Peterson; his beloved dog, Rolo; and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Cody Wasmer.

Corey leaves behind a family who loved him, friends who shared countless memories with him, and a lifetime of moments that will not be forgotten. While his family and friends will deeply miss his presence, they will continue to carry Corey with them through the memories, stories, laughter, and moments they shared together.
