A Family Hosted Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of Christ, 210 N. 4th Street, Odessa, MO 64076 on Thursday, November 12, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a time of sharing beginning at 7:00pm. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd Street, Odessa, MO 64076, 816-633-5524.

Scott was born on April 4, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, to William Michael and Linda Rue (Reding) White. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1987 and continued his education at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. On August 5, 1989, Scott was united in marriage to the love of his life, Chere Clark, in Odessa, Missouri. Together, they shared 37 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered around family, love, and treasured memories.

Scott was a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in everything he did. For more than 15 years, he served as the Director of Operations at MRW Fabrications in Independence, Missouri. Scott had a lifelong passion for hunting, particularly whitetail deer, and one of his most memorable and enjoyable jobs was working at Whitetail Creations Deer Farm in Mayview, Missouri. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Odessa and Whitetails Unlimited.

An avid outdoorsman, Scott found great joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He was also an enthusiastic sports fan who enjoyed following his favorite teams. However, nothing brought him greater happiness than being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren. Whether cheering them on from the sidelines at their sporting events or simply spending time together, Scott treasured every moment he shared with them. He also valued the friendships he made throughout his life, particularly the special bonds he shared with his hunting buddies.

Scott will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic, his passion for the outdoors, and the countless memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Chere White of Odessa, MO; three sons, Nathaniel (Heather) White of Clinton, MO, Ethan (Briann) White of Odessa, MO, and Caleb White of Odessa, MO; five cherished grandchildren, Harley White, Remington White, Anara White, Kya White, and Korra White; one brother, Jeff (Lynnette) White of Odessa, MO; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and hunting buddies who will miss him greatly.
