Charles Ray Schieber, Sr.

Charles Ray Schieber, Sr., 77 of Lexington, Missouri passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2023, at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, 1720 S. St., Lexington, MO, 64067, 660-259-2245.  A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2023, at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the family in the care of Carla Schieber.  Memories of Charles and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.

Charles was born on November 30, 1945, in Lexington, MO to Minus and Mary (Minor) Schieber.  He worked for many years as a mechanic and later in the asphalt industry.  Charles retired from IG Construction in Lexington.  On July 4, 1993, he was united in marriage to Carla Jones in Lexington, Missouri.  In addition to spending time with friends, Charles enjoyed fishing, camping, working on cars, but most of all the time with his family. 

Charles is survived by his wife, Carla Schieber of Lexington, MO; five children, Sherry Dilday of Lexington, MO, Charlie Ray Schieber, Jr., of Raytown, MO, Christopher Dean Smith of Lexington, MO, Joshua Lee Smith (Sparkle) of Independence, MO, and Cody Ray Schieber (Jaela Cummins) of Lexington, MO; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Alan Huffman (Holly), Jason Clifford Sawyer (Megan), Trustin Schieber, Johnny Schieber, Charlie Schieber, Maddison Smith, and Kayedence Smith; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Sibley of Carrollton, MO; and one brother, Hughie Schieber (Sarah) of Independence, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. 

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Schieber and Robert Schieber; and a sister, Elsie Abbott.
