Born on May 20, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Robert and Anna (Seitzer) Wilkinson. Cathy’s radiant spirit touched all who knew her. Cathy married her high school sweetheart David Bellis on July 11, 1980. She departed this life on June 9, 2026, in Bates City, Missouri, following a tragic car accident, leaving a void in the hearts of many.
Cathy was a devoted Home Health Aide whose kindness and devotion extended far beyond her vocation. She was raised and confirmed at St. George Catholic Church, where she took the confirmation name Marie—an enduring symbol of her deep faith and commitment. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and her gentle, welcoming nature. Active in community service, she proudly supported the VFW #5675 Auxiliary and the VFW Riders, exemplifying her spirit of service and camaraderie.
Known affectionately by many as Cathy, she was a beacon of warmth and generosity. Her personality shone brightly; she was kind and mothering, always making everyone around her feel comfortable with her good sense of humor and giving heart. She delighted in the simple joys—traveling, taking motorcycle rides, cooking, crocheting—and above all cherished the time spent with her beloved grandchildren. Cathy’s proudest accomplishments were her role as mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert and Anna Marie (Seitzer) Wilkinson.
She is survived by her husband, David Bellis, a steadfast partner who shared in her journey through life. Together, they built a loving family which includes their children Catrina & Brian Breazier, Amanda & Matt Crawford, and David & Renae Bellis II, and a host of grandchildren: Marcus Crawford, Colten Johnston and Elyssa Behrman, Trever and Sierra Johnston, Lillian Bellis, Lucas Bellis, David Bellis III, Ellis Crawford, Allison Bellis, Charlotte Bellis, Adam Crawford, and four step-grandchildren. The family joyfully awaits the arrival of her first great-grandchild, a testament to her enduring legacy. Cathy is also survived by her siblings—Robin and Scott Mills, Janet and Donnie Duffey, Dale & Connie Wilkinson, and William Wilkinson and Wendy Stewart—who will deeply miss her presence. Cathy will be missed by many other family members and friends.
