Blanche Maria Brown

Blanche Maria (Strickland) Brown, 92 of Hays, Kansas formerly of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in Hays, KS surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Blanche was born February 10, 1933, in Lubbock, Texas to “Lee” Marion Lafayette and Opal Lilas (Williamson) Strickland. She graduated high school in Gila Bend, Arizona. On June 30, 1952, Blanche was united in marriage to Wade Leslie Faulwell in Gila Bend, AZ. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1979. On June 9, 1983, Blanche was united in marriage to Harold “Lester” Brown. Lester preceded her in death on June 5, 2013. Blanche worked for many years for the Odessa R-7 School District as a cook. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Odessa and was very active in bible studies. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Blanche enjoyed crocheting. Blanche will always be remembered for her loving generosity; she would always send special greeting cards to her family and friends on every occasion.

Blanche is survived by three children, Maria (Michael) Perrault of Hays, KS, Ramona (Lee) Weeks of Odessa, MO, and Garry (Mai) Faulwell of Parker, CO; numerous grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Blanche was preceded in death by a son; Edwin Faulwell and two brothers, Lee Strickland and John Wood.
