Beverlee June (Bowman) Duvall, 80, of Independence, Missouri formerly of Lexington, MO, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at Centerpoint Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Celebration of Life immediately following 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Lexington United Methodist Church, 1211 S. Bus 13 Hwy., Lexington, MO 64067. Inurnment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society (Ovarian Cancer). Beverlee was born on March 26, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri to John Carey and Julia Marie (Kraft) Bowman. She graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence. On March 18, 1962, Beverlee was united in marriage to James “Jim” Royle Duvall III in Rolla, Missouri. Beverlee dedicated over 30 years of her life to the Internal Revenue Service, where she served as a tax examiner. She attended Henrietta Baptist Church in Henrietta, MO. Beverlee was a member of the Jaycee Wives Club, active participant in the Ovarian Cancer Society, and enjoyed discovering her family history through genealogy. Her love for dance, the ocean, and walking along the beach brought her immense joy, as did her adventures traveling to all but one of the 50 states in the U.S. Beverlee’s most treasured role was that of loving mother and grandmother.
Beverlee is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James “Jim” Royle Duvall III of the home, two children, Piper Duvall (James) Sparks of Lake Viking, MO and Brett Duvall of Liberty, MO; five grandchildren, Robyn (Alfred) Tuwei of Kansas City, MO, James Royle Duvall IV of Liberty, MO, William Cullen Dean (Paxton) Bryant III of Blue Springs, MO, Mariah Bryant and Fiancé, Max Bennett of Kansas City, MO and Lauren Bryant and Fiancé, Kaleb Brooks of Kansas City, MO; four great-grandchildren, Ajax Tuwei, Taraji Tuwei, Emma Davis, and Ryker Dennis; two sisters, Johnna Johnson of Richmond, MO and Lynne (Gary) Bales of Kansas City, MO; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Beverlee was preceded in death by both her parents.
