Barbara Jane (Coe) Shafer, 71, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 at her home.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd Street, Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. An inurnment will take place at a later date, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 20109 Bus. MO-13, Higginsville, MO 64037. Memorials are suggested to the Senior Center Building Board Inc. Barbara was born on April 30, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert Milton and Mary (Wheeler) Coe. She graduated from Redemptorist Catholic High School Immaculate Heart of Mary in Kansas City, MO. On October 8, 1983 Barbara was united in marriage to Willis Gordon Shafer in Gladstone, MO. She worked as a seamstress and a Certified Public Accountant. She was a member of the spinning club in Versailles, MO. She was very skilled in crocheting, knitting, and spinning her own yarn. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Barbara enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Including her husband, Willis, Barbara is survived by one daughter, Dawn McCollum and husband Scott of Clinton, MO; one son, Bobby Anglin and wife Chrissy of Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Coe and Johnny Coe; and one sister in infancy.
