Annabelle (Miller) Simmons

March 28, 1937 — December 7, 2023

Odessa, Missouri

Annabelle (Miller) Simmons was born on March 28,1937, to Joel Oscar Miller and Pearl Beatrice (Perkins) Miller in rural Harrisburg, Illinois. On December 7, 2023, she quietly and peacefully went to meet her Lord and Savior. In her youth she attended Harrisburg Township High School where she met the love of her life and future husband, Paul Simmons. They would go on to enjoy 69 years of marriage and undying love for one another. Together they had five children. Though she was small in stature, she left an enormous impact on those who loved her. She will forever be remembered as a selfless and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, both to her siblings and the members of the Odessa Restoration Branch in which she was very active. She loved spending time playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, had a passion for attracting, nurturing and watching hummingbirds, loved flowers and was an avid reader. She was funny and sassy, and you never had to wonder how she felt about something. She would let you know. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Simmons; brother, Edward (Ed) Miller (Margaret); a very special sister-in-law, Carolyn Seets; children, Kathy Conway (Paul); Russell Simmons (Pam Berryhill); Chris Smith (Rick); Kelly LeMay (Kent), Erik Simmons (Amy). She is also survived by grandchildren, Shawn Conway (Megan); AnnDrea Starner (Joey); Hayley Chladny (Paul); Kyle Simmons (Anna); Kelsey McLean (Andrew); Daniel LeMay (Casey); Allyson Simmons, Alana Simmons (Jerek), and Gabriel Simmons. She is also survived by great grandchildren Tucker Starner, Brooks Conway, Hudson Chladny and Easton Conway and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her fifth great grandson at the end of December, Baby Boy McLean. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Pearl Miller; her sister, Roberta Miles, and her brother, Curt Miller.
