Anna Belle (Rankin) Yancey, 95, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Parkway Senior Living in Blue Springs, Missouri. 

 

Visitation will be held from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524.  A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, 12507 Mount Tabor Road, Odessa, Missouri 64067. Interment to follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Odessa, Missouri.  Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Ann was born on May 2, 1928, in Odessa, MO to Dock and Bertha (Murry) Rankin.  She was united in marriage to Ernest Lee Suhr, and he later preceded her in death in 1964.  On April 3, 1972, Ann was united in marriage to William “Bill” L. Yancey in Miami, Oklahoma.   Bill preceded her in death on December 2, 2017.  Ann was a homemaker and farmers wife.  She was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the Shaw Club.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Ann was an avid quilter, KC Royals Baseball fan, she enjoyed cooking and was known for making the best cinnamon rolls and enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune.  

 

Ann is survived by two sons, Robert Suhr of Blue Springs, MO and George Suhr of Odessa, MO; nine grandchildren, Tracy (Mike) Bebout of Odessa, MO, Becky (Rick) Lalla of Grain Valley, MO, Carissa Suhr of Odessa, MO, Scott (Dot) Suhr of Grain Valley, MO, Codie (Bart) Rucker of Odessa, MO, Cory Suhr of Odessa, MO, Eric (Jenny) Wade of Odessa, MO, Anna (Jimmy) Danner of Higginsville, MO, and Ian Wade of Archie, MO; 16 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

 

In addition to her parents and husbands, Ann was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Wade; and two sisters, Dorothy Proctor and Ruth Bryant.
